This is the first of several entries devoted to the international meeting in Bonn (June 27th – July 4th).
We met at the airport really early and after a nice flight to Frankfurt and a train to Bonn, our host students took us on a guided tour to their beautiful city.
Later on, we enjoyed a wonderful time in a bowling alley.
On Friday 28th we gave the finishing touches to our website so as to have it prepared for the presentations of the following week, both at the school and the museum.
We also started rehearsing the «Ode to Joy» for the flashmob (singing in German was quite of a challenge!).
In the afternoon we visited the House of History (Haus der Geschichte), where we learned about contemporary German history and students got an idea of where the official presentation of our web would take place.
Saturday was a day to spend with the host families. Most of us took the chance to visit Cologne and its imposing gothic cathedral. In the evening, teachers and some of our students were invited to the Cojobo prom. There we had the chance to listen to the school big band, who would also perform in our flahmob.
Ésta es la primera de varias entradas que vamos a dedicar al encuentro internacional de Bonn (27 de junio – 4 de julio). Quedamos muy temprano en el aeropuerto, y después de un agradable vuelo a Franfurt y de coger un tren a Bonn, nuestros alumnos anfitriones nos deleitaron con una visita guiada a su ciudad. Más tarde, disfrutamos de una tarde estupenda en la bolera.
El viernes 28 dimos los toques finales a nuestra web para tenerla preparada para las presentaciones de la semana siguiente, tanto en el colegio como en el museo. También empezamos a ensayar el «Himno a la alegría» para el flashmob (¡cantar en alemán resultó ser todo un desafío!). Por la tarde visitamos la Casa de la Historia (Haus der Geschichte), donde aprendimos sobre la historia contemporánea de Alemania y los alumnos se hicieron una idea de dónde tendría lugar la presentación oficial de nuestra web.
El sábado fue un día para pasar con las familias anfitrionas. La mayoría aprovechamos para visitar Colonia y su imponente catedral gótica. Por la tarde-noche, los profesores y algunos alumnos asistimos a la cena y baile de graduación del Cojobo. Allí tuvimos la oportunidad de escuchar a la banda del colegio, que también actuaría en el flashmob.
